GA4 + GTM measurement architecture: from "broken data" to dashboards with reliable attribution

Did you know that a poor tracking setup can silently waste your digital campaign budget? Without reliable data, every marketing decision is made blind.

This demonstration case study shows how I audit, structure and validate digital analytics infrastructure to turn raw, unreliable data into information that is 100% useful for decision-making.

The problem this system solves

Many companies have key events that are never recorded in GA4 (such as forms or contact clicks), conversions configured without the right triggers, and a complete lack of attribution that makes it impossible to know which channel actually drives business results.

The measurement architecture, step by step

1. Structuring the data layer

I designed and implemented a structured measurement pipeline to capture user behavior with full precision. I configured 7 essential events following the GA4 taxonomy:

2. GA4 configuration and attribution

I marked 3 business-critical events as strategic conversions in Google Analytics 4, with precise firing thresholds: form_submit, click_whatsapp and purchase.

3. Rigorous technical validation (QA)

To make sure tracking was reliable before going live, I used Preview Mode, Tag Assistant and GA4 DebugView. I validated that 4 of 5 critical tags fired correctly in the test session (GA4 Configuration, GA4-Form Submit, GA4-Whatsapp Click and Conversion Linker).

4. Data visualization (Looker Studio)

I built an interactive analytics dashboard connected directly to GA4. The report centralizes traffic performance so real growth can be tracked:
